Aindra Astra
(also known as Aindraastra, Mahendra, Mahendrastra)

Aindra Astra means "Astra of Indra" and is a celestial weapon in Hindu mythology. It brings forth a shower of arrows from the sky. In the Mahabharata, Bhishma used the weapon against King Salya while taking the daughters of the king of Kasi on behalf of King Vichitravirya. Arjuna and Satyaki both used the Aindra Astra on the 7th day of the Kurukshetra War.

It is also referred to by the name Mahendra which means "the great Indra" or Mahendrastra.
