The Weapons of Mahabharata, Part 1
Mahabharata is the epic of ancient India, and weighing in at 2.5 million words it earns the moniker "epic" more than any other work of literature. There are many weapons used by gods and men in the Mahabharata. In part 1, I have written articles on the weapons known as astras.

"Astras are not weapons that are wielded by the hand, but rather weapons that are invoked by chanting a mantra and then directed through a medium such as an arrow."

You can click on the link above to read about astras and get a list at the bottom of the article, or you can search by the word "astra" or filter by the astra class.

These articles represent over 6 months of research in conjunction with a Mahabharata expert, Jijith Nadumuri Ravi from Ancient Voice. If you have any interest in the subject material, he is the one to talk to.

Part 2 will focus on the physical weapons of the Mahabharata, both normal and celestial.

New Artist
I am proud to introduce a new artist to the website, Daniel Lee. I think it is safe to say he is substantially more talented than I could ever hope to be, but if you'd like to judge for yourself here are the first articles to feature his images:

Dear Spambots, I Apologize
The website has been down for almost a month in what can only be described as a "catastrophic" hardware failure. It ranks up there in the annals of server mischief along with the day the air conditioning unit lit itself on fire. I apologize to anyone who frequents the site for the downtime. No one was more frustrated about it than I was.

However, the server appears to be stable now and the spambots have even left 4 comments already so things will hopefully get back to normal.
