Site Update2009-06-08
There has been a mild update to the website. At the bottom of every page there is now a Paypal link and an Amazon advertisement. We encourage you to participate in the site in whatever way you feel comfortable. Perhaps you found an article that you found particularly interesting and helpful and would like to donate. That would be great.

But more likely than not you have better things to spend your money on and that's ok. Here's where the Amazon ad comes in. If you are planning on buying something on Amazon, type the name of the item in the search field and press Go. If you purchase the item after visiting our site, Cleandungeon gets 4% of the purchase price, while you pay the same price you were always going to pay. This is a nice way to contribute to the site while doing something that you were probably going to do anyway.

As always, you can vote on the articles and leave comments which are totally free. I've also posted a handful of new articles:
Brigandine
Eight Plate Helmet
Kard
Matteh
Rondel
Spatha

All Hail the Forge Lord2009-04-17
Ah, Greek mythology. I could spend several lifetimes reading about the exploits of heroes and gods, but alas there's work to be done. Today's update concerns the works Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire and the forge. Like Lao Zi and Wayland the Smith, many famous objects are said to have sprung from his forge, including:

Armor of Aeneas
Armor of Diomedes
Armor of Heracles
Armor of Memnon
Axe of Polytechnos
Crown of Ariadne
Crown of Pandora
Knife of Perseus
Necklace of Harmonia
Pelian Spear
Robe of Harmonia
Scepter of Agamemnon
Sword of Peleus

I have also added a filter called "Hephaestus" if you would like to see all of the items associated with our favorite limping god.

Journey to the West2009-01-19
I have added several articles pertaining to items from the Chinese epic, Journey to the West. If you'd like to see them all, click on the search button on the right and add the filter "Journey to the West" before you press the search button. You can also just type "Journey to the West" in the text field.

If you'd like to read the book, it is freely available on the internet so just do a google search.

The Umpteen Treasures of the Island of Britain2008-12-15
As the year draws to a close, it seems like I have a couple days of free time that I may use to write more Cleandungeon articles. Today's update consists of the Thirteen Treasures of the Island of Britain:

Car Morgan Mwynfawr
Cauldron of Dyrnwch
Cebystr Clydno Eiddin
Coat of Padarn
Dyrnwyn
Gren a desgyl Rhygenydd Ysgolhaig
Gwyddbwyll Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio
Hogalen Tudwal Tudclyd
Knife of Llawfrodedd
Mantle of Arthur
Mantle of Tegau Eurfron
Mwys Gwyddno Garanir
Ring of Eluned
The Horn of Bran the Niggard

You might have noticed that there are 14 treasures in the list. The Mantle of Tegau Eurfron and the Ring of Eluned were later added to the list, and the Crock and Dish of Rhygenydd the Cleric were combined into a single treasure which makes fourteen.
