I've added another 30 articles since the last update. What has been taking up most of my time is a graphical change to the scroll background. The old scroll made the text very hard to read, and it was something that always bothered me but my Photoshop skills are...poor. Let's leave it at that.
However, I buckled down and with the help of many photoshop tutorials for the graphically challenged, I discovered the beauty and the wonder of layer masks and I think the articles are much easier to read.
What remains is to change the pictures from .jpg format to transparent .gifs, which will likely take several weeks. Most users won't notice the difference, and the rest won't care. So happy surfing!

I added 40 new articles to the mythology section today. It seems like there's always another Norse saga or Danish ballad to read. ;)

I added 17 more articles today, mostly weapons and armor from European mythology. Every time I think I'm almost done, I find out about another story with a bunch of equipment I've never heard of.
Clicking on the Mythology link above will show you all of the articles related to mythology that have been posted so far. If you're looking for something specific, you can click on the "Search" link on the right. Entering a keyword will return any articles with that word, or you can add filters.
Filters return a class of articles, for instance Japanese articles or 14th century articles, etc. If you wanted to look at all of the Japanese swords in the database, try adding the filters "Japan" and "sword". You can get very specific with the filters, and use AND/OR logic to broaden or narrow your search. Have fun! |

I've had some comments from readers stating that they'd be more interested in weapons and armor from mythology. In response, I posted 71 new articles today, mostly mythology or fantasy based. Some of them are fairly obscure (i.e. not the stuff you can find on Wikipedia) so I hope you enjoy.
As always, feel free to rate the articles and leave comments. If not, I'll just assume everything's fine and I'll do whatever I want. ;)
