Mohini Astra

Mohini is a female avatar of Vishnu in Hindu mythology, and is a master of enchantment and delusion. She is mentioned in the Mahabharata as recovering the Amrita from the Asuras and giving it back to the Devas by assuming the guise of a beautiful woman and tricking the Asuras into giving it to her.

Mohini astra is not mentioned in either the Mahabharata nor the Ramayana and is likely a later puranic addition. The astra is just an extension of her attributes; the ability to charm, enchant, or delude someone through trickery or illusion.
